And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
(NASB, Romans 8:28)
Why did I lose my job? Why did I lose the contract? Why did I not attract that person? Why did it rain today? Why did the contactor not show up? Why am I having such challenges in my home? Why did I lose the farm? We all have Why, questions, which emerge from experiencing pain, and frustration. But what if we acted on the belief that God is in control?
I reflected on the Titanic disaster. There are various explanations offered for why the ship collided with the iceberg. Let me share three. One, there was insufficient visibility. The two lookouts in the crow’s nest, Frederick Fleet and Reginald Lee had no binoculars and minutes before the collision they noticed a haze on the horizon that impeded their view. Two, there was not enough time after spotting the iceberg to stop the vessel by reversing the engines. Three, there was not enough distance after seeing the iceberg, to change the ship’s course and avoid the collision.
We are all fallible and our perspectives can get clouded by one or more factors like our emotional state, our stress level, the environment, or competing priorities among other things. We need a captain sailing with us who is omniscient and is in control of outcomes to steer decisions. God is a boss at this!
When we trust God, we would more easily be able to remain in peace despite what we perceive immediately in front of us. We know He is masterfully working for good whether it is revealed the same day or years in the future.

Very true! Life would be much more peaceful if we could trust God completely and believe that everything no matter what is in His hands and under His control! Thanks for the post!
Thanks for your profound thoughts.
